tufted titmouse sketch
This winter I've been blessed with the company of a Tufted Titmouse. He pops into the backyard around 9am daily, grabbing a snack from the feeder.
Unlike the cardinals who will happily sit at the feeder for the all day buffet, this little guy is swift and never dallies long - blink and you miss him! He usually grabs a peanut and carries it to the safety of the cedar tree, where he grips it with his feet and bites off smaller, more manageable pieces to devour.
