baby boy blue watercolor portrait

6x6 watercolour portrait of a baby boy in blue.

I love how Manganese Blue granulates - see the texture in the background?

ah, the simple pleasures of paint.

Gorgeous, as always! What paper are you using? or is it paper?

I simply must know. :)

Hi Manon!
Yes, I've been a little busy since the trip to Cooperstown ~ I'm rehearsing for the musical "Chicago" which is being performed in November, and fitting that in with my painting schedule has been tricky! we did have an amazing time, and the next one will be even better with you around!

Cindy and Pam, thank you for the lovely feedback - i'm so glad you like it!

Becca, it's Arches 300lb cold press natural white. My favorite paper for anything larger than say 4x4 inches. It's a bit rough for most ACEO portraits but once you get working a little larger the texture really helps.
