Cupcakes and Sock Monkeys

I recently completed the most enjoyable little ACEO ever. This little girl's dad asked me to take this photo:

and see if I could create a little ACEO with her holding a Sock Monkey. It was very important that the dirty knees and cupcake love were included. I loved painting this, and the end result has so much color and life!

This is lovely! It's so ironic to see the sock monkey, I just purchased several coordinating sock monkey fabrics to make a quilt out of.

Thank you Heather & Amy :-)

Lynne, the Psalm on your website (in the daily blessings) gave me much comfort today. Thank you.

I've wandered over here from Marsha's blog and am glad I did.

This image is so wonderful! You have captured that intense enjoyment in the toddler, oblivious to world and lost in pleasure. Fabulous!

Wow, this painting is pretty amazing. I could NEVER do something like this with watercolor. They are so hard to control! But, yes, this painting is absolutely beautiful, and very inspiring. :)
